Thomas DelGiorno earned a medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a fellowship in Nephrology at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. DelGiorno is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Dr. DelGiorno’s sub-specialty areas are resistant hypertension, glomerular diseases, acute kidney injury, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, home hemodialysis, and chronic kidney disease including diabetic kidney disease and hypertensive kidney disease. He has an interest in hemodialysis access and is one of the interventional nephrologists at Quality Vascular Access. He specializes in vein mapping (making a”road map” to help vascular surgeons create an arteriovenous access) and interventional radiology techniques to treat dysfunctional hemodialysis access.
Dr. DelGiorno is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the National Kidney Foundation.
