Nnaemeka G. Chikwendu is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and is certified by the American Society of Interventional Nephrology. He earned a medical degree from the University of Nigeria College of Medicine in Enugu, Nigeria. Dr. Chikwendu completed an initial traditional rotating internship at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital.
Dr. Chikwendu completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York. He also completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, N.Y.
In addition, Dr. Chikwendu completed subspecialty training at Emory University in Atlanta in Interventional Nephrology. He is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, and the National Kidney Foundation.
